Trip to Melin Tregwynt by Sula and Andrew

Last week we had a trip to Pembrokeshire to see the weaving at Melin Tregwynt. The mill is over 100 years old and still makes blankets and other fabric in the same way it always did. It was great to see the machines weaving so quickly because it takes so much time for us to weave on our hand looms.

Here’s the mill

And here’s one of the weaving machines

We had a nice lunch in the cafĂ© too but I couldn’t finish my sandwich (says Sula).

They also have a shop where they sell the things they make.  In the shop Duncan knocked over a stand full of greeting cards and it made a terrible noise but I didn’t laugh, I just kept quiet (says Andrew).
