My favourite film charcater

Harry Potter,  played by Daniel Radcliffe is my favorite film character.

I like all of the Harry Potter films and the books also

I thought the films were better though because you could see the magic.

See Anyone you know ?

Whilst  back home recently, I went down to a fair well party for a member of the Allotment group that was moving away from the area.

Fun and food was on hand to say farewell, and wish them all the best in their new home nearer their daughter.

Steam in Llangadog

On Monday a 13 coach steam train came through Llangadog.

a few of us went down to see it, she was stunning

then we jumped in the bus and went to Llandovery to see her their

She was even better their as we saw her cross the crossing with lots of steam.

It was then back to the house to cool down from the crazy bus ride

Mick Leaves

After five years working with us on our IT projects, Mick is leaving to concentrate on his upholstery business.

Mick says "It has been great fun from the very beginning and I hope I can find a way to work with Vic House again. I have some plans to introduce an upholstery project at some time, so watch this space. Thanks very much to everyone for five great years."

Luckily for us Dafydd is taking over. We have all known Dafydd for many years and look forward to working with him in the future.

Trip to the X Factor by Claire

Scarlet , Sula and I  went  to Cardiff  to see X Factor again. Imee didn’t come in this time, she stayed in the car. It was really good - I liked James best because he’s the best looking. I shouted “l Love you James” so much  that I lost  my voice.

Update 6th March by Richard

Went to a farm resreve in Pembrey to cut down some trees, clear along the fence in preparation for new fence posts and cleared lots of brambles. The dry weather is making the work much easier as there's not so much mud,

Trip to Melin Tregwynt by Sula and Andrew

Last week we had a trip to Pembrokeshire to see the weaving at Melin Tregwynt. The mill is over 100 years old and still makes blankets and other fabric in the same way it always did. It was great to see the machines weaving so quickly because it takes so much time for us to weave on our hand looms.

Here’s the mill

And here’s one of the weaving machines

We had a nice lunch in the café too but I couldn’t finish my sandwich (says Sula).

They also have a shop where they sell the things they make.  In the shop Duncan knocked over a stand full of greeting cards and it made a terrible noise but I didn’t laugh, I just kept quiet (says Andrew).

Carmarthenshire Volunteer Work Programme by Richard

Some of us have signed up for the Carmarthenshire Volunteer Work Programme  again this year. We’ll be going to various woods in the county to help with clearing paths, coppicing hazel, clearing scrub and burning brash.
First of all we’re going up to Poor Mans Wood where last time I went it was very muddy.

This time was exactly the same, it was just about to the top of my wellies. We managed to clear all the brambles from the path  and cleaned out the shelter then started to coppice hazel and cut down any other trees that needed it.
It was absolutely freezing but we soon warmed up with the work. We had to finish at 3pm because of the snow coming in.

Work update by Andrew

I have been working at Co-op for 3 months now. I used to just do mornings but now I work a whole day. I stack and tidy the shelves and sometimes tell the customers where things are if they ask. My workmates still call me Speedy, which makes me laugh.

Gateway Disco by Sula

We go to the Gateway Disco almost every week. We have to pay £1 to get in. I love it because the music is good. I want to do work experience there.
